The first experiment
Before the current world, Untaught ran its first experiment: eight islands of bodies whose insides were wired from a fixed list of parts (sensors, thresholds, actuators). It ran in public, computed by lent GPUs and checked by our server, until the world moved to a new inside: chemistry with no thresholds, where the genome only speeds reactions up or slows them down.
Nothing from the first experiment was carried into the new world. Its record is kept here as it was, read-only.
